Hopefully Purvis sees the endzone with the G-Men.
Former BC tight end and favorite target of Matt Ryan, Ryan Purvis, was signed by the New York Giants. Following a decorated collegiate career in which he was named the first team All-ACC tight end in 2007, Purvis has been somewhat of a journeyman in the NFL. Undrafted, he signed with the Bucs in 2009 in a stint that let him see the field ten times and tally five receptions before being released in 2010.
Given the state of the of the Giants tight end group, with both Travis Beckum and Jake Ballard suffering ACL injuries in the Super Bowl, Purvis has a great opportunity to prove his worth, and earn a spot with an organization that both loves BC guys and has seen practice squad players take on big roles.
